New in NM
Hey all,
Names' Tiny. I'm in NM but I'm from Boston originally. I'm graduating from college in July with my major in film. During my time in film i've gotten to be a certified pyrotechnician and blown up several things, Outhouses, dog houses, normal houses, and cars. But as I was in the planning stages of a student film where I was going to blow up a car. Our insurance provider backed out and the film maker found himself in posession of a vehicle he didn't need.
This vehicle turned out to be a 1970 Ford f-100 sport custom. it didn't run when he bought it, so i took a look at it and after a few tests I replaced the solenoid and put a little new gas in the tank and it started right up. I drove it around and I smelled something burning. I havn't had a chance to figure out what was burning but I should be getting it towed to my place this weekend.
so right now it's living at his house. and i've convinced him to sell it to me for $350 minus the cost of towing to my place.
I'll take some pictures on friday when I get it towed.

Welcome from California!
From the sound of it, you're probably the perfect person, with your background, to figure out 'what's burning'...
Lookin forward to hearing more about it, and checkin out the pix.
Best of luck!

Hi and welcome from Pennsylvania.
Ya might want to post the name of the insurance carrier in case someone wants to send some business their way since they saved another bump by backing out of the deal.

It's actually the "college of santa fe" that was providing the insurance so don't worry I'm pretty sure nobody's going to use them other than college students.AlleyCat wrote: Ya might want to post the name of the insurance carrier in case someone wants to send some business their way since they saved another bump by backing out of the deal.
But I just posted some pictures of the big white brick in the project update forum. Go check it out if you like.
