Parking Brake cable question
The front cable on my '70 f250 2wd is shot. Napa has a part available but not for heavy duty (which mine is) and Dennis Carpenter doesn't list a difference. Is there any? Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Hey Batchainpuller
I haven't seen a source for new ones, but they do come upon ebay sometimes.

re: Parking Brake cable question
Never heard of a difference in e-brake cables. If it fits one 250 your year I would think it is the same for all of them. However, if its like finding rear cables for my 67, good luck. Noone had the right length. I found identical ones with a shorter cable from the housing to the truck, so I got one and spliced the cables with multiple cable clamps. So far so good. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Ok Fordman, from ball to end of threaded end is approx 90". Housing measurement is a bit more difficult as it's a bit unwound and cinched 20" or so from ball end retaining clip. My best guess is about 74" for housing taking the bad spot into account.
