70 71 72 grill shell differences

other than the grille inserts. what are the shell differences. i know the mounting tabs. but which ones are for which years. i have a grille i took off of a 70 that says it was made sae 71 tk. and then i have a 72 truck that has a shell on it that has four regular tabs top and bottom on each side as well as two in the side centers on each side of the shell inserts. so if these shells are 71 and 72 grilles then what does a 70 shell insert tabs look like or how do the inserts mount exacly. i know its not much of a diference but what is the difference?
