re: The ultimate rust repair job

Post by shrektruck »

Wyoming let's me register anything I want for with a VIN inspection from the local constable + a check for the county tax. The tax is based on the vehicle value and last time I registered the Shrektruck I told the lady it's worth about $5000. She says, "Mr Hassler, don't you think it's probably more like $1200?" (reducing my taxes)
And like 67F250 says, being in the military no one blinks when I show them Wyoming registration and a Maine license (expired but still valid)and tell them I live in California.
Oh, the foam-we use to use it to build up rotted out areas before fiberglassing them. I have this theory that eventually the whole truck will rust out and I'll have a complete fiberglass body! Corvettes aint got nothing on me!
Chris, maybe you should walk into the inspectors shop sporting a nice S & W .44. Seems to generate more respect.

Chris, you gotta stop taking your truck into the damn chevy dealership for inspection...... I know it's badder than any chevy ever built, but do you really think 'they' are going to agree? :P

so if i got this right, i can start using the spray foam, and fiberglass, and before too long. i'll have a fiberglass body? kool. off to the hardware store......

Keith, don't be talking too much smack on duct tape. i keep it next to baling wire in my tool box...

Hey duct tape is great for window gaskets that whistle and. Bailing wires and coat hangers will hold your steering together long enough to get to auto store and pick up new part and return home to install it.

Duct Tape???

Whats that???

I thought it was Duck Tape and vets use it to fix broken ducks.

Or if your bath toy gets a hole in it you use this stuff.
