Painting the frame question?

Post by JWW »

I am currently doing a rebuild of my 67'. I just want to make a good driver out of her.

I do not have the capabilities of the space to pull the motor. I will be able to remove the cab. My question is... has anyone repainted their frame with the motor, trans, brake lines etc. still in tact? I want to use POR-15 or KBS Coatings, but I'm worried about getting under the frame and doing a good job.

If anyone has any suggestions other than pulling the engine and trans, please let me know. You guys are always helpful.

I would say it could be done. Spend a day steamcleaning every nook and cranny, sand and wipe it down, mask everything off and paint it.

I'll wrap the motor the best I can and take my time. I'll do the best I can.
