How should I paint bumper?

Post by cghstrojan08 »

Ok, I have a guy I know that will sand blast my bumper for free. Would it work out ok if I used Rustoleum Primer then Rustoleum silver paint on it? I am talking about good ol rattle can. I wire brushed the bumper in the past and put three coats of rattle can paint on it in the past. It rusted out again within a year. I am gonna have my tool box sand blasted to. It rusted out to just from wire brusing.

I recommend rust bullet. A member painted his bumper with it. Looks good. Do a search, you should be able to find it.

iiif your rattle canning it i would use several thick and heavy coats of paint. and then maybe a sealer or clearcoat with a rattle can. maybe that will last longer.

I vote for either the rust bullet or powder coating... I've seen both, and they both look great!
