Need pics & info

Post by James72 »

I'm haveing more trouble choosing a color for my crew then I did choosing a name for my son
I want something that looks vintage and suits my truck, It's hard to explain but here it goes:
I want the color to be part of the truck, not on the truck
The reaction should be "cool, old, scarry tough looking truck" not "wow nice paint job"
I'm leaning towards a mid to dark semi-gloss grey, I think the chrome pieces would set it off just right.
So if anyone has any pics of any type of car or truck with the name/brand of paint in the mid-dark grey semi-gloss I would love to see it, Thanks guys.

How about two-toning your grey with black? Say, gray lower section, black upper section and hood, and gray cab/roof? Might look kinda cool....?

That would look good but I like to stay with one color, something like an old locomotive or military plane

The old 'dove gray' (that they used to paint the undersides of aircraft so that they'd blend in with the clouds when viewed from below) might look pretty nice. It's kinda blueish tho, and I dunno how 'scary' and tough it's gonna look.

Battleship gray maybe, paint on some rusty rivets...
...maybe a gun slot with a barrel hangin out... that might be scary. ;)

That is my favorite 2 tone combo, however I'm going 1 color on this one for now...
