67 ford truck

Post by 67fordman »

Hi im Ben i have a 67 ford truck long bed with a 360 engine with a 3 speed automatic tranny......... does anybody know of a place in Texas that has a good restoration shop that i could put my truck in. Any where around Texarkana. I know that the 360 isn't original but i am looking to build a new 352 which would make the truck more original that is my goal originality. So if you can help me let me know thanks.

I cant answer your question, but I wanted to be the first to compliment you on your obvious good judgement in choosing a 67. 8)

Obviously, he couldn't find a '69... ;)

Just kidding Ben - sorry, I have no info for you either, but welcome to the site. Make sure to stop by the 'Welcome Mat' section and post a little info about yourself so that everyone can say 'howdy'.

The 352 would look the same on the outside as a 360 or 390, so why not keep it?

Sorry I don't have any shop info. Just make sure that they have done or worked on these forsd before, and make sure that they are good at tetting things done. Lots of shops tend to never finish things.

i think you will have to get a diferent engine to change the 360 back to a 352. i think the bore is smaller in a 352. and the 360 and 352 share the same crank. i think this is right.

Yea FORDMAN your right.. i would have to buy a block and go from there to make a 352.

MADMAXect the reason why i want to put a 352 in it is to make the truck more original. I kinda figured that they all look alike (360 390) when i bought it from the guy who said it was a 352 and come to find out when i went to get the "352" rebuilt it happened to be a 360 lol. I was a lil disappointed but it gave me a few extra horses.

But if anybody knows a place in Texas that would be good to put my truck in to have it restored let me know please
THANKS
