tailgate trim removal

Post by 1971ford »

on my 69 f100 Ranger, i dont know how i am supposed to take off all the tailgate trim. it is held on by rivets. i would think they would be screws or something.

Mine is held on with rivets on my 72. I figure the only way to get it off is to carefully drill out all the rivets. To re-attach, I figure the panel might be reattached with more rivets. Just my :2cents: .

rivets have to be drilled out. you might be able to reuse screws for reinstallation of the trim. i wonder if it was done that way to help them keep from being stolen?
