Diamond Blue

Post by sargentrs »

My truck's original color (according to the VIN) was Diamond Blue. If I go to the local AutoColor place, can they match it or does anyone have a cross reference chart? I don't reckon there's anybody out there with a truck already painted the same color? I'd love to see it in it's original glory!

Here you go! The Auto Pant store will have this info also but the paint code for them to mix it up is under the color chip.
This is for martin senour http://www.fordification.com/lit/images ... -chips.jpg
And this is for PPG http://www.fordification.com/lit/images/70PPG-pg01.jpg
That color looks to be just about White with a blue tinge to it...
This info was on the literature pages  http://www.fordification.com/lit-home.htm

thanks, fordman! I'm going to paint the interior first, figured if I stick with the original colors it'll be less work and cover better. Since I'm removing the column anyway (thanks to you, parts look great!) might as well get new insulation, carpet and firewall cover. If I gonna do that, should paint it while that's out. If I paint it, I really need to recover the seat and door panels. If I do that, should get new armrests, knobs and bezels. That'll make the visors and headliner look bad so........ :D

Thanks Thunderfoot! Just what I was looking for. I knew I had seen that somewhere here but couldn't remember where.

Appreciate the input fordman. What about DC's? Any better?

Hey Jeff,
Yea, there is lots of info Keith has on the site, some of it is just not where you would expect some of it. I still find stuff all the time I haven't seen before. :)
