aluminum and steel grills

im confused on this. what is the difference in these grilles besides what they are made out of? i mean why are they made of two different materials? which is better? did like a steel or aluminum grill come on the nicer models or what?

someone help me out on this one :D

The steel grilles were painted... usually white... and mostly came on base models
The "brite" aluminum came on pretty much every model.
If you have the money to do it, a painted grille and head light doors can be stripped and chromed... those are by far the best looking of all.
The cost prohibits most of us from doing that...
Otherwise, you wouldn't even be able to find a steel grille 'cause we'd all have chrome ones on our bumps... :D

Aluminum is the more "precious metal" of the two making it more expensive and costlier to make.
