70-72 parking light housing bolts

has anyone ever attempted to replace the bolts on the bottom of the 70-72 parking light housings? if so what kind of bolts did you use and how did the lights fit between the lower valance and the grill?

Ford man im gonna have to replace my valance on my 70. Bent right in middle some how. So i will be removing parking light housings. Looked at the them other day while working on that ongoing elec problem. Looked like some type of flat head bolt going thru them.

Also looks like you may have to remove bumper and valance to get them off or maybe grill not much room in there to work.
Will be a while before i get to that but will let you know if you have not figured it out by then.

i have these of already. but the bolts broke off. they are spot welded to the bottom of the housing. i know i can grind off whats left i was just wondering the best way to replace the broke off bolts. to remove them i just had to take the bolts out and kind of wiggle them and they came out.
it would be easier if the grill was off though.

one side of my bumper is slightly bent up so i can't even get park light lens off. but any way i have to replace bumper and valance.
The only place i have found that valance is lmc. $169 WOW.

those valance sgo for good money. if you can straighten yours that would be the way to go.

Mine busted off to!!!!!! Thank god I had 2 more off a parts truck!! Jb weld maybe!!!

I will attempt to straighten it but it's got a ugly crease right in the middle. Not sure how somthing got in ther without getting the grill.

I figure a new bolt, and some JB weld would be your best bet. Maybe use some stainless hardware this time ?You know....no rust haha.

a new bolt of just anykind might make the housing not fit properly or at all because of clearance issues with the grill. i am thinking of drilling holes where the old bolts went through and putting the new bolt through the holes and tact welding them for a secure fit. it should work pretty good.
