Here is a bit of Video from my 72

Post by RWG »

Hey all here is a short vid of the Gold Brick running.
http://tinypic.com/player.php?v=6pqvqy0&s=1
Thanks for the warm welcome folks!
I must say that I have about 10 places I want to start on this truck..

I have about all the accessories on the inside working but the body work scares the "B" Jesus out of me..
Almost to the point where I may pay to have the body work done.. The doors and such are not a problem.. But the bed seam on the drivers side needs to be cut out! DOH!

Oh well enjoy the Red Neck vid

Yessir its a 302 ...

I picked this truck up on Saturday in a trade and I have had my head stuck in it ever since. I ran the vin and found out its a Michigan truck that came with a st.6.
What I don't know is what trannie it has and what rear end..

I know it has a mild cam.Mallory intake.Holley, headers and Flow Masters.

Its been about 20 years sense I last tinked round with an 8 so pardon any ignorance that may come from my mouth

My 72 came with a 302.When it got to using a lot of oil the original owner put a 289 in it.The 289 has an Edelbrock intake, Holley carb and Mallory distributor.I had planned on swapping it out for a 390 but have since changed my mind.It runs fine and doesn't use oil or smoke so I'm gonna keep it. :)
