bumpside better bumper buying

Post by 1971ford »

lol

what is the best place to buy a rear bumper from? i have about a grand to spend on a bump order (not parents money, i have 3 paper routes, and collected xmas and bday money) one of the things is a nice rear bumper to replace the cheby one thats welded on my 69. I dont know what the one i want is called, i think its a sport bumper that im looking at. its chrome, and a non-step.
so which place to buy from? lmc seems to be the only place that has what im really looking for. but i hate lmc.
and i heard the sentance "sport bumper mounts" before, do i need these too? where do i get them if i need them?

thanks

Ryan-

These are the brackets that you need for the bumper. The auction is over but these are what to look for.

NPD baby!

Rear Bumper:
F100-350 67-72 Contoured, chrome, repro, OS F-17906-14 $149.95

Front Bumber:
F100-350 64-78 (b4 78 ser#AG0,001), chrome, w/o horiz. pad holes, repro, TF F-17757-2A $129.95

You would have to get the brackets off of eBay or CR.

i shipped two bumpers. one front and one sprot rear to texas for around 60.00. the frotn one was larger than the rear one. so the rear one fit inside the front one and made the package small enough to ship for that price.

lmc has the sport bumper brackets for 129.95. page 21 fall 07 catalog. of you could hit up the bone yard and get them off a bronco or later style pickup and do just a little grinding and make them work.

Hey Ryan, I know Ebay makes you itch, but you may want to watch this one if the 5 trucks guy doesnt come through.
