my truck was dealer undercoated. it helped alot. my floors are still in great shape and my cab mounts are just now starting to crack with the first sign of rust. my inner fenders look pretty good in the places the undercoating has now flaked off. you can see shiny new paint in places.

My 72 was Ziebart rustproofed when it was new.The Ziebart and the original owner parking it for the winter months saved the truck. The Ziebart and some of the paint was flaking off of the underside and showing bare metal when I got it.I scrubbed it down then touched up the rustproofing. After that I filled a garden sprayer with used oil and drowned the underside.I used marine fogging oil inside the hood, doors and cowl.It makes a mess to say the least but it will keep the rust monster at bay. :)

:D

When I was looking for an under body coating, I checked out bed lining material for the coating. What I found out was the coating would be applied thick because of the thickness of the material. It also sprays somewhat sideways but sprays well downward because of the heaviness of the material. The truck would have to be disassembled from the frame so as to apply the coating under the cab. The underneath needed to be clean in order for the liner to stick. That was when I was made aware of soda blasting.
