Anyone have any experience with the replacement aluminum "Headlight Doors" for a 67-68 grill? I'm talking about the aluminum trim pieces that surround the headlights and cover the actual headlight buckets on each side.
I'm wondering about the quality, fit, and finish of the reproductions out there. I want to order and plan on going with Dennis Carpenter but want to see if anyone has first-hand experience and can comment before I make a potential mistake and end up with some poor quality parts. Would rather hunt for some good used originals if that is a better route...
Thanks
Mark

I can only answer half your question. I ordered a pair from DC and the quality is excellent. As for fit, I haven't installed them yet so I cant comment on that.

Carpenter makes these off the original tooling, so I'm sure fit would be no problem.

That was my thought as well. I am thinking about getting a pair some time...probably after I paint it.flyboy2610 wrote:Carpenter makes these off the original tooling, so I'm sure fit would be no problem.
