heres another i like. i havent seen this alot. what do you think about this? pros/cons?

im leaning away from black now, seems black needs some professional work and lots of time/money. blue/white is a little too common, but sure looks nice. orange/white is not too common, and it also looks nice.

The two tone just works so well with these trucks.
Maybe play around with photoshop (if you have it) and see what interesting color schemes you come up with.

LOL I don't know if you even seen it but its where the paint looks like an orange peel if the paint did not get layed down right its hard to see if the light is not just right In talk about a pain to fix.

just look on any GM vehicle, thats how you find orange peel, a better explanation is you see how those trucks you all posted have a mirror finish? you can see your reflection perfectly? orange peel you would see a reflection but pretty distorted, every paint job has orange peel unless it is wetsanded down and buffed after, thats how all the hot rod shops do it.

Bumps look good in a two tone green, but not metallic. dark over light, just like the ones posted.

I had a 72 with a dark metallic brown over white, that was a sweet looking truck.

Mine is Skyview Blue over Wimbledon White, which I like...but I doubt I'll go with that combo when I repaint. I am thinking Black as well, or a Dark Forest Green with gold metallic flake.

If you like to keep your truck clean, BLACK IS NOT THE WAY TO GO (unless you like to wash it all the time).

White just kinda starts turning gray. Doesn't show road grime much at all.

Hmmm...

If ya don't wanna paint it dark blue/white, why did you give the option on the poll???
It sounds like ya already had yer mind made not to paint it those colors...
:? :? :?
I would not paint it black at all, (unless it was flat black) especially if yer gonna paint it yerself...
Gloss black is not an easy color to lay down and requires much more prep work than any other color.
The body work has to be flawless 'cause it with show every dimple or wave in the sheet metal

Lighter colors are alot more forgiving than darker colors and hide minor flaws in the body.
Light blue, Pebble Tan, White, Boxwood green and red, are all really good colors for bumps...
Or, you could go with the two or 3 tone (white top) dark blue/light blue, dark green/light green or any color and white.
