The '67-'72 LWB frame is a stretched-out version of a SWB frame...some of the extra length is in front of the axle, some behind. You'd have a lot of work shortening a LWB frame to fit a SWB truck, but it could definitely be done.
Hey Keith
Do yo have any pics of (chris's)Cobraf100's truck, prior to the work he has had done . I think it appears above the did you know at the top of the page a couple of times. If memory serves me that truck was bought new by Chris's grandfather and started it's life as as a LWB. and was shortened by his grandfather in the drive way.

Ok, I'll add to this question. Are the 1/2t and 3/4t frames the same frame? Did FORD do like GM and use the same frame for each(1/2-3/4) and just add some additional crossmembers,or did they use a thicker/heavier frame for the 3/4t? Hope I am not hijacking this..
Thanks

the 3/4 ton frames have thicker steel on the frame rails.
