Quick brake question

Post by wildcard »

I need to adjust my front, manual, drum brakes. I know I can do the Trial and Error deal, but I thought I could get it here quicker than T&E.
So, which way do I turn the adjuster wheel to loosen the brakes ? I can never remember those things.

It'll only go one way. Just stick your brake adjustment tool or screwdriver in there and pry one way or the other. If you're going the wrong way the star wheel will bind against the paddle. If you're going the right way you'll hear a satisfying click, click.

Thanks jor. BTW, it says that attatchment no longer exists. But that told me what I need to know.
