Could this be done?

Post by spartman »

I was wondering if I could put a master cylinder from a 1 ton truck with drums into my 1/2 with drums?

I was thinking that the 1 ton master cyl, would be bigger and would provide more braking power.

would they bolt up and would it work?

Just a thought I guess.

spartman,

I don't really see any physical difference in the booster/master cylinder assembly on my 71 one ton, (when compared to the 73' and 79' 1/2 tons I usta' have.

As long as they would bolt up, which I don't know, it would work. It will give you a quicker pedal response. Use the booster also and that will give you more brake power.

I did it with my Toyota
