Mine would have been just a little bit longer as you forgot to mention in the corners work the rope in circles to keep from cutting the rubber with the rope. Also when you install work both directions to the top corner. You also want to meet in the middle at the top when done. Wish my vid camera hadnt gave up the ghost or i would make a vid of installing one and post it on my tube.

wow, great help!
although putting one in sounds a little much for my dad and I. ill see what he says about it. if we decide to not install it, maybe we can remove it and just have a shop install a new one so it will cost a little less or something. do you think shops even know how to put a window in well with our trucks? its a little different than new cars i would think.

Any good shop will know how to install the new window no problem. I would suggest these people for the install
http://www.safelite.com/?http://www.saf ... &WT.srch=1
Click on the service locator and put in your zippcode then a local shop will list with address and phone number. They will come to you to install the new glass. If i was local to you i would do it for you. Its easy to do really.

re: windsheild rubber stuff
Hey Ryan,
I did this about 20 years ago on a 1940 Plymouth I had. That had flat glass so it went pretty easy. The one mistake I made was not lubricating the gasket and I ended up cutting the gasket with the rope during the install. It went better on the second gasket/second try
If you can, take some pictures as you go, It would be interesting to see how it all comes together for you.
