re: Side mirrors?
Fordman,
Yes, they are aftermarket. I got them at Advance Auto. JC Whitney also had them but they were back ordered at the time. I can't remember the brand but they are referred to as Jr. West Coast.
The blind spots I got at a local truckstop.
I took another picture yesterday while I had it up on stands changing a cab mount. More on that in another topic.......
I sized the picture down a little so it doesn't widen the screen like the last post of mine.

Mine do look different. I don't want to deal with the possibility of more holes in the door.oldbiker wrote:Hey Steve, I have chrome ones on my explorer. I figured a good visual would be better than an explanation. I actually have a pic from last years M-n-G.
Here is a cropped pic.

The stupid hood thing let water in around the hood latch and rusted it out.

Hey Kaptn, if you're looking for spot mirrors find a place that sells heavy truck parts. Most of them carry mirrors and carry spot mirrors in several sizes.

I like the looks of the West Coast Juniors on my 68, but first time I drove it, an entire corner and stop sign were totally obliviated from sight. Thankfully, it was at the corner of my yard, but it made an indelible impression. I saw some a guy at work installed on his 70 Chevy from Autozone that were pretty decent! Banjo.

Yup, any truck part place. Mack, Freightliner or heavy shops like a spring and driveshaft place usually sell extras like mirrors, mudflaps and such.
I do not remember the name of them but I'll be going back soon and I'll try and remember to get it. The blind spots will outlast the west coast mirrors by a lot, they are a good quality.

Re: re: Side mirrors?
I really like some of the mirrors you guys have, I like the ones on mljjones's grandpa's truck. The more I think about it though, I'm growing to like my 80/90s style mirrors because they fold in close to the body very easily. My truck doesn't have a lot of room through my garage door and if I put big mirrors on, I might not be able to fit! If I put on a pass. side mirror to match my driver's side, they'll both fold in for extra clearance.
My main concern was that they would look out of place on a 60's bodystyle, but I don't think they look too bad.
