a few oddball questions

I was wondering if there is any lowering spindles out there for our trucks. I also want to know if you have to drill to lower the back with the flip of the spring saddle. I want the most affordable way to get 2 inch front and 3 inch back drop without screwing up my camber or modifying the frame. I also wondered how much drop I could get in back from removing the helper leaf and flipping the saddle. I wont be hauling when I get done.

there are no drop spindles for the suspension on our trucks they just wont work as to everything i have read about the idea!!!!

they do make drop i beams though. i think dream beams or something like that but it messes up your camber ive read.

the dropped i beams are the only way to lower the front without causing any camber issues. or you can use drop springs and have your factory i beams cold bent by a good front end shop. type dropped suspension in the search box and you can see all the different ways people have dropped the rear.

If you do not want to cut your factory coil LMC truck sells a 2'' drop coil. They are not to bad on price and wont effect your camber to bad at all. As far as drop beams go the companys recomend you to use your factory coil or replace it with a new factory height coil when using there beams to reduce negative camber. I have LMC coils in front and a flip kit and c-notch from DJM on my 68 waiting to be put on. I just havent had time to do it yet.

the price seems to vary quite abit. i think keith said there was a shop near him that would do it for around 50 or 60 $. the only place i called around me wanted around 135$ to do it and it was at a big truck shop. so i would just start calling around to the smaller garages and see if anyone does it. if not, call a semi truck shop and see what they want.

alignment shops bend i beams if they have the bender.

Your best bet would be hit up an old mom and pop garage. They usualy have the ''old school tools'' to do the job. Another bet would be to check a shop that hop up old fords they might have the benders to do the job.
