Aluminum rim problem

how can i take out nicks and scratches from the edge of an aluminum rim? Had a blowout and hit a curb at approx. 2-3 mph. it doesn't look bad, just ugly. :cry: :doh:

Maybe a mill b@st@rd file or start with 80 grit and work your way back to finer grit paper till you can polish.

:yt: In the aircraft repair industry, they tell us to try to dress the "wound" out about 10:1... that way a crack wont form.
