making your own super cab
i have a few ideas how i would do this. just general ideas. i'm thinking i could cut the back wall of the cab out or off or however you want to state it. then cut another cab in half at the seat line where the floor comes up so the back of the first cab and the second cab would be level. then weld the two pieces together leaving enough space to weld the roof also. i had thought of putting a window in it and no door for that area. what would i use for a piece to weld up the door area to make it strong enough to hold up. should i just cut a door to size and weld it in solid? that sounds like the best idea. then what do i do about a bed and cab supports in the rear of the new part of the cab. i guess i could cut the frame rear cab support brace out of truck number 2 and place it in the frame of cab one to give the added cab supprot and a mounting place. the bed i am unsure if i could custom out a styleside bed to fit. i couldnt use a short be i'm pretty sure of that. i would have to cut down the bed to make it fit right. is there any other things i should consider? this thing about cutting down a bed bothers me. i dont want a homemade flatbed. or anyother kind of bed i want a styleside bed on it.

Maybe you could get a dentside supercab frame and use it
That way you won't have to cut your bed down. On the cab, cut the whole rear of cab #1 off behind the door latches, cut the front off of cab #2, graft them together, cut the rear doors to size and weld them in solid. That's what I'd do

Just a athought you might even have to move some of the bed mounts but im not sure. I would think you would be able to use a short bed but i think the frame is a little bit shorter behind the rear wheels. to move the mounts jusst grind the brads off and take a punch and drive the rest out. Mark where the new holes will be then take a slow speed drill to drill the new holes. I would start with a1/8" bit and work up to the size you needed using a tool cutting oil to keep the bits cool. Then just use grade 8 bolts and nuts and if you wanted to make sure they dont ever come loose just put a tack weld on them.
