transplant ques.

Post by hotrod ford »

if i comes dow that i need to get my tranny rebuilt i'm gonna. since that will happen im gonna go ahead an take the cab off of my 250 and put it on my 70 swb for the rebuild. my question is though, if i have stands to raise the cab off of the 250, role the chassis from under it and role the f100 frame under the cab, how much stuff do i need to remove from the cab? i figured the doors, seat and maybe the tank. i will need to loose the steering column and pull it up so i wont damage the yoke. i dont think i need to diconnect the wire harness from the inside. i wont be using the heater so i can remove that before the replacement. more weight removed. if anyone has any good ideas it would be appreciated.

wiring woulld be ok. alot of guys are using thier cherry picker to lift the cabs off the frames. some just use the boom to the inside roof other have bolted chains or straps to the seat bolt holes.
