Moulding Measurements
does 3 7/8 sound like the correct measurement for the rocker mouldings on the rangers?

re: Moulding Measurements
It's closer to 4", I believe. I've got all the trim measurements posted at http://www.fordification.com/trim.htm

re: Moulding Measurements
Thanks Keith, I actually forgot about your section on trim. I found what I thought was the correct piece of trim at KAMA Obsolete. They state that the D0TZ... part (an abviously 70++ year number) was the tool box trim that measured 3 7/8. You list D0TZ as the 1 3/4 narrow trim for 70-72 while C7TZ is for 67-69. All that is correct. I have the C7TZ wide trim on my Ranger and it is tweaked badly from a minor accident before I bought the truck. On the way home from work I took the trim off and measured it and it was 2 7/8 approximately, so we'll say 2 3/4. These are very hard parts to come by and I wrote back to KAMA to confirm what piece it actually is. I am hoping they made an error in the part # and it is the part I need and not the narrow trim.
One thing is for sure, it certainly makes doing a proper factory restoration quite a challenge. Then again what fun would it be if the parts could be had at your local NAPA for a dime a dozen!!!
later-- Jeff
