Fender Rust Repair

Post by RUSTY FORD »

Hi
I have a 71 F-250 with rust holes in the usual places caused by buildup in the braces. I read on the site restoration of the 67 truck of the use of POR-PATCH as a filler once the center of the brace is remove. Can anyone tell me if this idea worked out OK or can an improvement be suggested.
I want to steer clear of welding patch panels if I can.
Thanks for the help.

It works great as long as you just have small holes...it's not meant to bridge the gap in larger holes. The holes I used the POR-Patch on were smaller than a pencil in diameter, and for that it worked great.
