Anyone know what this is called?

Post by ToughOldFord »

And even better yet, where to get them?

I'm talking about the visor thing on the cab where the cab lights are mounted as pictured below:

most of the big Ford vintage catalogs (LMC I think has one, JCWhitney sells them also) have them.

they are called sun visors, or moon visors if they have lights in them.

my truck has one also...

i have always just called them "sunvisors". here is a link for "lund" brand visors. not endorsing the website, just giving you an idea. you can google sunvisors and get all kinds of hits.

Hey TOF...

All of the ones I have seen have been made by Lund ...
I just did a Google search and there 27, 770 hits so I'm sure you can find one that would work for ya if yer interested.

I have one for my '95 Caravan that I just haven't taken the time to install.

Thanks Highboy. Too bad he didn't post a pic. I've found a few used ones, mostly on ebay, but the problem is they're all the newer ones with the lights embedded in the front of the visor. I think the ones like on your truck and the one I posted above look better with the actual cab lights on them. I was thinking about getting a non-lighted one and putting my choice of lights on it.

you know the cab lights on mine aren't mounted to the visor, right? they are the stock factory lights.

I have thought about adding lights to the lip of my visor, so I'd have 2 sets of front lights. Might look nice that way...
