Polishing Grille removing coating?

I seen a post somewhere of how to remove the outer coating and polish your aluminum grille but cant find it now! Does anyone know?

I just happen to have that page book marked 'cause I need to do the trim on my '68 CS...
Not looking forward to doing it, but can't wait to see the results....
