Witch Booster do yo have the one like in the Picture or do you have the Big-one?

I had the Big-one then had to switch to the Samller 7" Booster to use the Cobra Lemans Valve Covers. Even with the Smaller Booster you can see it's a close fit but it does fit,I just cant use the T-handle to hold it down at the Booster and just used a small bolt.
I can take it on and off with very little effort if any.It doesnt touch the Booster,in the Pic it looks as it does but it doesnt..

If you dont know what Big Booster I'm talking about let me know and I'll post a Pic of it.

I have the small booster thats why i can't understand how yours clears and mine doesn't unless the motor mounts are different or motor is shifted over alittle not sure as to the problem because i would rather not shim the booster as this can be a prob. for the pedal rod not binding etc. Any Ideas? Thanks Tim P.

I didn't use the The Big-Block Engine Mounts,I used the Small Block Mounts for the 302.

I used them to get the weight closer to the Ground.I think there only about an 1" different.Plus it made the Engine sit flat(Crank and Tail Shaft are level to each other) and we drilled new holes in the cross member to sit the Engine back a little futher(only about 1 to 2 inches).

I dont know if I'd "Shim" the Booster or not thats something you may want to ask others about.

Also what FE Blocks do you have sitting around that you want to get rid of? I've got a Stroker Kit but need another Block to put it in.The one I had was Cracked #@% :x

Sounds like a lot of work to clear the booster and moving the engine back could raise issues with the driveshaft and tranny hump don't you think and im not sure that there is room to move the mount towers back several inches on the crossmember i will take alook at that idea tho. thanks, Tim.

Well this is what I did to mine,it had nothing to do with getting the Valve covers to fit,it was done for balance/Weight on the Noise...
I'm only talking about an 1" difference down and back.
