i need help on chopping

ok so my dad has this old 1969 f350 work truck and i wanna get it so i can transform it into a sick ride however i have no experience on chopping cars i know how to weld and i have my basics on sheetmetal.
But i do not know how to measure from . i really need help with this before i get over my head with this project. thank you so much for all the help.

well he doing a different chop. need to wait and see if the windsheild works out. :lol: if you going to do a chop like most your going to need to add some lenght to the roof and doors window frames.

well marz68 chop his truck and then pie cut his window framed to meet the roof line. he did this because when you cut it the roof and it moves down the angle changes. most people leave the post but add distance to the roof so the angle stays the same. i measured it out awhile back i its not much. inch or 2. i think a 3 inch chop was 1 inch. so you would have to do it to the door window frames too. marz68 will work but i am not sure about the angle and the windshield. it might crack from the angle change unless he trims more the the top edge of the glass. i am waiting to see how it turns out becuase it would look the best.
