Newbie from Atlanta

Post by atcaw94 »

I'm 50 yrs old, been married 26 years and live in Paulding County Georgia, about 40 miles west of Atlanta. Two sons, 23 and 20. The youngest is a quality control rep for DriveTime. He and I built my Mustang coupe in the garage over the past 3 years. He is now helping me fix up the truck. I retired from the Navy last year after 24 years. Currently travel the southeast as a customer training rep.

I just bought a 68 F100 a month or so ago, been looking for a good one for a couple of years. It's a really rust free truck, with a 302 (thank goodness) and a C4. Needs a front fender/core support cause it's been crunched. Pretty much stole the truck, the kid that owned it was going in the military and didn't want to spend the money to fix it.
I've been perusing this site since I bought the truck, there is some great tech info here.
I also own a built/blown 85 Mustang coupe and my son has an 86SVO.

I'm already doing a pwr disk brake upgrade, and need some help (see post in forums).

The bad thing is the guy who pulled out in front of him's insurance company paid him to fix it. He spent the money, and so the truck sat. But I can't complain, he could have easily got 3 times what I paid for it if he had fixed it.
I already have a a donor truck for a grill/fender/hood/core support.

:wel: from Okla. Hey thats a easy fix. I hope you got the paint code for the color. Other wise it might get to be fun trying to match it. Even with the color matching computers reds can be fun to match. Also that is one sweet truck you scored there wish i had your wheels.
