Brake Pedal Upper Bushing
My brother inlaw found our brake problem. The upper bushing on the brake pedal is worn and not allowing the brake pedal to fully return to the upper position. Our truck is a 67 F100 with a auto transmission. Were can we get this upper brake pedal bushing? Thanks in advance. Charles

re: Brake Pedal Upper Bushing
Are you referring to the plastic shaft bushing or the main pot metal bushing?
The plastic bushings are available from any of the big Ford truck vendors (Check the Links & Resources page...top 7 on the list), but if you've got a bad pot metal bushing, it's a different story. You'd be better off finding a good pedal bracket from a parts truck rather than trying to repair that.
A more long-term solution would be to convert that pot metal bushing to roller bearings, such as what's detailed on this page:

Keith, My brother in law said the bushing located at the top of the brake pedal arm is plastic so with the provided links I should be able to locate one. Many thanks
TOF, I still am not 100% back but working on it. Its very good to be back on here with the many friends I have here
71LB No more fried starters yet. The 67 has been in storage. My now 17 yo has it back so we will see about that soon I imagine. Good to hear from you and every one, Charles
