new anodize remover
I just flipped through my new eastwood catalog and they have a new anodize remover. Looks like it comes as 16oz of powder that you mix w/ water. I don't know how many gallons it will make of solution, but if you can't find lye then this might be the way to go. It is pricey. $20 for 16oz.

I scrubed some trim this past weekend with a Blue SOS brand pad and then sprayed them with Easy Off heavy duty. So far this works best for me.
