Hello from Idaho

Post by Thunderfoot »

Hi everyone,
I found this GREAT site after I had found that fte site (haven't been back sense) and this site is the BEST!!! :fr: Way more info and a lot friendlier group of people, from what I have been reading from the last couple of weeks.

I have a 69 SWB 2WD that I purchase 3 years ago for $650 (see link below for pictures) it has a 360 auto in it now but I have a new 460 to go into it.
It has some front end damage that took the bumper, grill and LF fender + passenger door but I picked up a 68 front clip to replace those parts.
I also just got a 79 F150 2WD for free for the disc brakes and power steering.
This is just one of the many projects I have to work on, so I work on it when I have time for it over the others.
Basically just been collecting parts before I get started… I plan on lowering it and setting up the suspension so that it will work good at the track for those times out to have some fun, basic street / strip cruiser…

This is the first forum I have ever started a post on so bare with me if I make mistakes...

Hopefully I'll be able to help others with any info that I may have.

Thanks!
Thunderfoot

Thanks RebleRider,
Thunderfoot has been the name of my mustang Drag cars starting with the 68 that was my first car and I still have it... My Mother said that with the glass pack mufflers I had on it in High school that it sounded like thunder in the house when I came home :D Then when I started to race it, with it being a Mustang and big tires Thunderfoot seemed right... If I get this right here are pictures then and now of the 68 and my avatar is the 74 that we built in the 80's, after selling it and buying it back I'm completely re-doing the car from the ground up.
