I just picked up a 1969 302 engine. It has the cool looking valve covers with the FORD Logo embossed into them. They ae painted red. I know that Ford painted some 170's and 200's (valve covers) in the mid 60's with red but does anyone know if Ford painted any of their other engines red?... particulary a late 60's 302?
Any info appreciated!

Don't know. I like the Red so I have all of my valve covers in "Ford Red" high temp.
