what kind of seam sealant do ya use; firewall vs. drip rails, or is it the same? I was wunderin' cuz of the heat on firewall vs. varied temps, you get the idea..

The caulking in the drip rail is self leveling seam sealer. It's runny compared to caulking so it will lay smooth is will be paintable unlike silicone caulking. The fireway seals are refered to as strip caulk or dum-dum.

Is that self leveling stuff a factory deal? I was up checking my drips the other day and noticed some flexible stuff that looks like it's beginning to pull away from the drip rails.

the best stuff ive found for the drip rails is a self leveling sealant used to seal the seams on mobile homes works great
