This poor bumper...
... needs some help.
It'll get replaced one of these days (we all know how that is) - but for now I'd just as soon straighten a little to make it look semi-normal and not like one of my dogs reaching out it's paw to shake my hand.
Suggestions would be appreciated. The following are ones I've come up with on my own:
1. Find a tree - push the bumper into it... but I'm worried I'll burn the tires off (or dig ruts in the yard) before the bumper budges.
2. Utilize BFH with bumper still mounted on truck. The fear here is missing and causing more damage to other parts.
3. Remove bumper, drive over bumper, re-install. Not sure how stiff it is - so it may just act like a fancy car ramp.
4. Remove bumper, have kids jump up and down on bumper.
5. Remove bumper, install on someone elses truck - drive that truck into tree (hard) and then swap it back.
6. Remove bumper - discard - bolt on 2x10.
Thoughts?

Use the tree. I did the same thing once to a Galaxie I was driving, and the front bumper got bent worse than yours.
You're not going to bend it back just pushing it, you'll actually have to RAM the tree...several times. Just be careful that you don't go too far.

I fear the neighbors will mistake it for a distant cousin of the Schlepcar from "Wonderbug".

re: This poor bumper...
I have done the same thing once or twice. .... looks allot like a when I hooked a chain to the bumper underneath, to far out
and I can tell ya a tree push is a real bad idea I total screwed the hole fender, marker and hood/ grill
now from my experience first remove the marker light
and if the bumper is twisted from the bottom you got to try to un twist it
back first. then push/pull it back.
sounds hard but what I do is use a ground anchor and chain with a hook from the top lip raping around the front 5 ta 8" in from the out side or in your case the left. then slowly drive the truck forward. now with pressure on the bumper it will twist it & pull it back & down most of the way hopefully.

might be easier to grab a front bumper from a truck in the local junk yard. a bumper from a 67-77 and maybe even 78-79 will work.
I had one bent the other direction and i jumped up and down on it three times almost perfect now.

Good ol' Sid and Marty Croft...I think wonderbug was from the "Croft Supershow" That was a cool memory - thanks. By the way I vote for trying the 2 x 10 first so we can have a picture of one, then do the tree ram thing...come to think of it...get a vid clip of THAT and post it too!

re: This poor bumper...
I have used a tree but a little differently. Line your bumper up to a good size tree, making sure there is another tree fairly close on the other side of the truck/tree combo. Use a winch or come-along. Run the cable from your truck to the second tree. Slowly pull your truck against the first tree. This will keep you from going to far too fast. Most likely the bumper will spring back a little but you will have to do some triel and error to get it right. Just my

Just remember, if you use the tree, hit it with the LEFT side.

re: This poor bumper...
I would go without a bumper before I would risk running it into a tree. If I was at home, I would send you a usable straight bumper that you could use until you got a new one. Good luck, but stay away from the trees.

Party-poopers! OK, I guess my neck might be a little 'red' here and there. But it WAS fun straightening my Galaxie bumper and denting the tree.

re: This poor bumper...
I just know that I myself would have a negative outcome with the tree.
