I am scratching my head, I recently bought a set of camper special tags, (the 70-72 type), thinking I would simply have to pull put the glove box and gauge bezel to get to the nuts on the inside of the cowling....but no go.
How would you get to them they seem to be "sealed" in....
Thx!

Why do we drive on a parkway, and park on a driveway?

The other 2% actually made it home..."
They just pop off from the outside, they're not bolted on. There are small pegs on the backside of the emblems that insert into small keepers in the sheetmetal. Just use a small screwdriver and carefully pry them off.

Thanks, I got them off, after examining the "new" ones close enough.
Just goes to prove if you leave a redneck alone long enough with a hammer and a prybar we'll get 'er done.......

I catually meant "sealed" by body panels, no acess to the back where I thought there were split nuts. Then I looked at the ones I was to install and noticeed that they were simply held on with friction type of keepers that popped into the sheetmetal.
Thanks, sorry for the misunderstanding....
