How hard is it to do? and can it be done with out buying a relocating kit? i have a spare tailgate i can use for parts. any pictures? or walk me through how to do it.

I don't know how hard it is, but I have the kit and it still looks like a lot of work since unlike the new tail gates doesn't have a good place to relocate to. I have bounced back and forth with relocating it.

I think I saw something once about relocating it to the inside of the tailgate. Smoothed out the outside, but wasn't a major pain. But I can't remember where I saw it, ... I think it was "TRUCKS" with Stacey David.

The CACWBY has the relocated handle. Maybe Trevor can shed some light on this for you. If you do this, take plenty of pictures. Good luck.
