POR-15 Over POR-15
I got started on my cab floor today, but ran out of time to get a second coat of POR-15 on the floor. I won't get to work on it tomorrow. Can I put a second coat of POR-15 on if the first coat is 48 hours old?

Not without their tie-coat primer. Once it sets up, you aren't going to get anything else to stick to it, unless you do a lot of sanding...and that stuff's pretty hard.

That tie-coat primer, is that the same stuff as etching primer?
I used some etching primer on POR-15. Man, that stuff works really good.

re: POR-15 Over POR-15
Here's what I did:
I got Keith's post & immediately ran out and dusted the drying POR-15 coat with a can of flat black rustoleum.
I made some time the next evening to put on a second coat of POR-15 over the first coat/rustoleum blend
Today I sanded that coat (sanding really didn't do much to the finish - that is some hard stuff), then I sprayed it down with duplicolor self etching primer. I know the POR self etching primer would have been better, but they want $25 + shipping for a can of it. Then I put the top coat of Chassis Black on the floor.
Everything seemed to stick pretty well but if this does not work out (peels off) I will update.
Thanks for the help.
