Front clip

Post by splavin90 »

is it possible to take the entire front clip off of my truck?

it looks like there's 3 bolts that connect the fenders and inner fenders to the firewall, and then 2 down by the radiator that bolt it to the frame.

can i take the entire clip off if i unbolt all those bolts?

there is more inside the door jamb, and under the cab, in front of the door.

the one under the cab for the fenders is a tough one if its spinning. you have to get under there and try to get some vise grips on it. if you cant you might be able to get a sawzall on the head and cut that off. as far as the door jamb there is one bolt per side. it is a short stroke of bolt to remove. i hate that bolt. after the fenders you have the inners bolts and the core support plus the rad and any wiring to get the clip off.

Don't forget the little fiber pieces from the bottom of the inner fenders to the fire wall .
