I'm going to repair the small cancer spots on my drive side floor. Anyone have any suggestions on the best way to go about it? My plans were to just cut the area out and weld a piece back in, any better ideas?

Thats pretty much it. I would use factory patch panel though and treat it after welding it up to prevent future rust. POR-15 is good stuff. Good luck on the welding. I weld like Arnold Scharzenegger ice skates. Not real well.
