flare kits

for anyone i suppose but i was thinking more of the guys who have lowered thier trucks. have any of you thought about puting flare kits / ground effects on your trucks? i was just wondering how that might look.

i dont think it would look right to be honest. these old trucks deserve metal, not all that platic jap-crap haha. leave the flares for all you guys up in the sky.

Yeah I wouldn't be a big fan of it. That should be left for the Imports for the most part.

I know what your talking about, more like running boards with a flare around the fenders.

I wouldnt be a fan of it either. I feel like that style went out with the 90's. But thats just my opinion.

yea thats what i was saying. i have never really liked that stuff myslef. it seemed to old man type of stuff. with multiple color of paint strips you know what i mean. i just wondered how it would look on a bump i have never seen anything like that on a bump. the fiberglass runninb board was really whati was thinking about. not so much the fender flares.

i'll try and photochop a pic for you tonight.

Anybody want to post up a good side pic of there bump. Preferably something with less rust (lol), I'll give it a shot so you can get a general idea.

I had some of those plastic fender flares on my 90 Ford. When I took them off I got alot more comments on my ride than I did with them on. Plastic with metal just didnt look right. :2cents:

about the only thing i would consider would be a mach 1 style chin spoiler, but i doubt that could even be pulled off tastefully.

I havent forgotten about this. I've been busy as crap! I'm a commission paid chrysler tech and I flagged 29 hours today, so my nights consist of alot of sleeping...
