Bendix Problem!!

So i installed a bendix box into my 67 swb w/inline 6 and the steering arm is not mathcing up with the tie rod. My steering wheel sits up higher now in the cab aswell. It is a bendix box it looks exactley like the one shown in the tutorial. Anyone have any ideas i would appreciate it. By the way does the fact that the truck is still sitting on all four wheels and not up in the air make a difference for the steering arm problem???

what did you take out? was it power you put in? was it manaul that you took out?

please explain not matching up a little better or post a pic if you can as this is a little confusing.

Yes i took out the manuel box and but in a bendix box. So the steering wheel is higher and where the gear box's pitman arm is supposed to connect to the tie rod it is off. Now does the truck need to be jacked up in the air to mess around with the tie rod???? I will try and post some pic's im not so comp literate

but i will have my wife do it this afternoon. thanks fellas keep info comming im confused here

Well the tie rod is now connected to the pitman arm. I lifted front end and it went right in

im learning little by little. I gues now on to the steering column problem

when you did it. did you center the pitman arm or did you just hook it where it was. it could affect your turning radius. maybe you got lucky. i didn't mine turns hard to the right but real easy to the left. so i have to redo it.

Yes sir i did center it i have not ran the truck yet cus i need to put in harmonic balancer and belt.
