67 Cab is history now...........

Post by Freightrain »

Well, I drove my '67 yesterday, as usually it sits in drive cause it kills me in fuel costs. I usually use it for occasional run-around to keep it lubed up.

Anyhoooo, the cab has FINALLY given in. The upper window rail is blown out, the roof is actually LOOSE across the top and rust is now dropping on the windshield when you stop LOL!!! It whistles in the wind as you drive down the road. Oh, man I knew it was coming, but sad it hit so fast. Also the floor and front mouts are history(been since I parked it last year).

Anyone have a really nice cab they want to part with?

Tell you what if you can get my other cab from arizona to me you can have my cab.

It has rusted floor boards and the PO had an accident on the riders side.

I believe it is all pounded out but I found a rust freeish unit in AZ just need to get it home.

Well, now I need to figure how to get it Ga. and back with a truck that the roof is near blowing off LOL!!! I'm gunno give it the duck tape treatment for now to keep the water from running in anymore than it is, plus keep the wind whistle to a minimum.

I wanted the truck to last at least 4 yrs.........and I got that. Sure hated to have to use it daily in Ohio and watch it slowly disappear :o

Tell ya what John. I'll bring my B and F100 out and trade ya for a certain KW and F100 YOU have

I used the olive drab duct tape on the front end of my Dakota for just about 3 years. The headlights and blinkers were held on ONLY by the duct tape. I also had to use a clear plastic shower curtain in place of the hard plastic for the headlight. I know it sounds extremely redneck.............And it was even more so to see it in person

I parted a 70 F-100 one time and the roof was tied on with clothes line, wrapped all around and tied inside the truck to keep it from blowing off.
