Replacing Rear Rubber Suspension Components

Post by FoMoCo »

Hey all, I have replaced the front bushings on the 67 with energy suspension parts. (An aside, ES pivot arm bushings do not need to be pressed in.) I need to replace the rear rubber now. Looking at the back, ther is no rubber left. The leafsprings are metal to metal at all the pivot points. How tricky are the rear bushings to replace. I was going to get the rubber replacements from NPD. Are there pads between the springs and axel?
Another side note, I found the rubber part that goes between the front coil and I-beam. MOOG calls it a coil spring shim. P/N 6302. I'll take some pics and double ckeck the p/n this weekend.

I bought all urethane from LMC to replace the bushings on mine. They shouldn't be too hard to replace, but it does change from vehicle to vehicle. The coil spring isolator may act as a spacer to give a little more height.
