question about inner fenders...

Can the inner fenders from a '73-'79 be used on a bumpside? I bought a '77 with intentions of using the chasiss, but due to rust on my '69, I will use the radiator support too. Then I got to wondering if the inner fenders would work too

I was under the impresion that the frame rails on a 73-79 are 4" wider that the bump.

The '73-'79 frames are wider but only the back half. They get wider behind the cab......but are the same up front!

you can do it but the firewall mounts mount differently. beacuse they are wider. also you will have some trouble with the hood hinges lining up to a bump hood.

Thanks for the input. I think I'll re-think it. My '69 inners maybe be salvageable.
