Overdrive in my 68?

Post by ejgator »

Anyone want to suggest a way to accomplish this? I currently have a 3-speed manual column shift. My steering column was modified slightly to allow power steering so I'd like to keep the column I have. I would like to improve the 12 mpg my 360 engine gets.

Thanks.

You can check out Gear Vendors, but hold on to your wallet!

I E-mailed Gear Vendors. In the meantime, I was hoping to find something that might have been available in 67-72.

I see some 4 speed transmissions with 4th gear OD on eBay, but I believe they would have to be floor shifted. This may be my last resort.

Does any one know whether a replacement collar for the steering column is available without the shift lever feature?
